The newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’ claimed on its front page this Saturday that Real Madrid are considering a move to the Premier League because they are fed up with the continuous attacks from Tebas.
The president of LaLiga read the information and did not hesitate to respond via Twitter. Madrid sent a statement denying everything.
LaLiga and the clubs voted in favour of ‘LaLiga Impulso’. Only four teams opposed the deal and one of them, Real Madrid, said it would take legal action against the investment fund and LaLiga.
This Saturday, Madrid’s debut day, the newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reported on its front page that the white club considered the possibility of leaving LaLiga to play in the Premier League.
“The white club, fed up with what it considers to be continuous attacks from Tebas, analysed the options of leaving the Spanish LaLiga,” said the newspaper.
In addition, ‘MD’ said that “the bet of the president of LaLiga for the CVC fund and his boycott of the Superliga have exhausted the patience of Florentino Perez”.
Javier Tebas himself was quick to respond to this information with his own particular way of referring to the two big LaLiga clubs. “What a lot of nonsense these days,” concluded the president of LaLiga.
After learning of the media report, Real Madrid issued an official statement to deny it and deny any intention to move to the Premier League.
“Given the information published today by the newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’, in which it says that our club studied the possibility of moving from LaLiga to the Premier, Real Madrid wants to assert that this information is completely false, absurd and impossible and it only intends to disturb, once more, the day to day of our club,” said the club.
