It had been rumoured for a while and this Monday 16th August it was made official: Sheffield United, who are looking to get back up to the Premier League, have completed the signing of Ben Davies.
Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic wanted to reinforce his defence before the summer market came to a close and the Liverpool centre-back was his main target for some days.
After a period of negotations, both clubs reached an agreement over the season-long loan of the Englishman. For his part, the 26-year-old will look for the game time he was unable to enjoy last season at Anfield.
Davies joined the Reds from Preston North End in January in response to the numerous injuries that were striking down the club’s centre-backs. However, he never managed to make his debut under Jurgen Klopp.
