Phil Foden has been offered a new six-year contract at Manchester City, with the club prepared to almost quadruple his current salary to keep him at the Etihad stadium,

Man City want to reward Foden for his development into a superstar for club and country by offering him a new contract at his boyhood club. And the Daily Star reports that the Citizens have tabled a six-year deal worth £150,000 a week, nearly four times his current £40,000-a-week salary.

The contract renewal would see him recognised as one of the most important players at the club, who have been busy tying down their stars to new deals in recent weeks. Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Ruben Dias and Ederson have all committed their long-term futures to Eastlands, securing the spine of the team for years to come.
